Every Armor Lock & Safe job runs under written policy: no-drill without authorization, flat-rate quote before work, damage covered, chain-of-custody documented, refund where we cannot complete. These are the standards — they are not aspirational, they are the contract.
🛡
No-drill guarantee
We will never drill your safe without your written authorization. Roughly 85% of our Vegas Valley safe openings complete without drilling. If we drill — at your written authorization, at the manufacturer-engineered weak point — the repair (plug, refinish, lock service) is included in the quoted price, in writing, before any work begins.
📝
Written quote before work
Every job receives a flat-rate quote in writing on-site before any work begins. Drilling, parts, and repair are quoted separately. We do not change the quote mid-job. If we discover a complication, we stop, explain, and re-quote — and you decide whether to proceed.
🔧
Damage policy
If we damage your property in the course of work — not through normal repair to gain authorized access — we cover the repair. Liability insurance is on file and the carrier is named on request. This excludes cosmetic finish wear during normal manipulation (rare and minor) and authorized drilling at manufacturer-engineered weak points.
⏱
Same-day service standard
Vegas Valley dispatch averages 20–35 minutes from our East Side HQ. For genuine emergencies — locked out of vehicle with a child or pet inside, post-break-in property exposure — we prioritize. For routine work, we typically arrive within posted hours (Mon 9–8, Tue–Sun 9–9). Outside hours, leave a message; emergency callbacks within 30 minutes when possible.
📋
Chain-of-custody documentation
For probate, estate, and inherited-property work, we document the opening for the executor or trustee file. Photographs are taken on consent; ownership verification is mandatory before any opening. This protects the customer, the estate, and Armor Lock & Safe from later disputes over contents.
💵
Pricing transparency
Service call: $150 (waived on jobs over $250). Typical safe opening: $80–$220. Single-cylinder rekey: $25–$80. Drilling: +$200–$500 with separately-quoted repair. Vault and TL-rated commercial work: quoted on inspection. No after-hours, weekend, or holiday surcharges within posted hours.
🔑
Ownership verification
We do not work on safes or locks whose ownership we cannot verify. Standard documentation: government-issued ID plus a recent utility bill or deed showing the customer's connection to the address. For probate work: Letters Testamentary, Letters of Administration, successor trustee designation, or court order. For rental: lease + landlord coordination.
Combination & code privacy
Combinations we recover or program are delivered to the verified owner in writing on-site only — never by phone or unsecured email. We do NOT retain copies of customer combinations after job completion. Master codes on smart locks are set by the customer privately.
🛡
Insurance coordination
For post-break-in repair and insurance-claim situations, we provide a written job description with itemized parts and labor, photographs of the work, and our LVMPD permit number. Insurance adjusters accept this documentation directly. Most Vegas homeowner policies cover hardware repair after a documented break-in.
↩
Refund policy
If we cannot complete the work as quoted — for example, the safe turns out to require dealer-only access we could not have known about on the phone — we refund the service call and any pre-paid amounts. We do not refund work successfully completed at the quoted price.
Guarantee FAQ
Does the guarantee cover safe contents?
Our liability covers damage we cause to your safe or property in the course of authorized work. We do NOT take possession of contents; the owner retains custody throughout. Contents are inventoried by the owner, not by us.
What if drilling damages the safe's UL rating?
UL fire and burglary ratings can be impacted by drilling. We restore where possible (plug, refinish, lock service) and note the work in writing. For recertification, contact the safe manufacturer or a UL-listed restoration service; we do not recertify ourselves.
Are repair-after-drilling repairs warrantied?
Yes — 90 days on workmanship. If the plug or refinish fails within 90 days under normal use, we return at no charge.
What about liability for jobs we sub-out (e.g., dealer-only smart-key programming)?
We do not sub-out jobs. If a vehicle is dealer-only, we tell you on the phone before dispatching. You then engage the dealer directly; we do not take payment for jobs we cannot complete.
