Air-bag inflation
A thin air bag inflates between door and frame for cleaner access. Standard on luxury vehicles where wedge-marks would be unacceptable.

Slim jim (older vehicles, pre-2005)
Older mechanical linkages can be manipulated through the window seal with a slim jim. Not used on modern vehicles (damages linkage).

Key cutting + ignition replacement
For lost-keys-locked-inside scenarios, we cut a new key on-site for older transponder vehicles, or coordinate smart-key replacement for newer push-start vehicles.

What happens when we arrive
Auto lockout dispatch from Spring Valley to the Strip averages 12–20 minutes off-peak. The technician verifies vehicle ownership (registration + ID, or proof such as a valet ticket for hotel-property valet drops) and inspects the door for damage risk. For most modern vehicles, wedge-and-rod opens the door in 5–15 minutes. If the keys are visible inside (locked-in scenario), the customer retrieves them and the job ends. If the keys are lost, we discuss next steps — older transponder vehicles can be rekeyed on-site; newer push-start vehicles may need a smart-key program (additional service). The vehicle is checked for any wedge-or-tool marks before we leave; we do not leave with damage to body or door seal.

NEVER smash a window — the cost of a window replacement ($300–$1,000) far exceeds our lockout fee.
Have your registration ready when we arrive — ownership verification is required.
If keys are LOST (not just inside), say so on the phone. Smart-key programming is a separate service line.
For luxury vehicles (BMW, Mercedes, Tesla), specifically request air-bag entry rather than wedge — leaves no marks.
At Reid Airport rental returns, coordinate with the rental agency first — they often have master access.
Licensing, verification & legal
Auto lockout service requires vehicle-ownership verification: registration plus government-issued ID, or for rental vehicles, the rental agreement plus ID. We do not open vehicles for unverified callers. For valet-claim situations, the property valet attendant authorizes opening with documented chain. For child-or-pet-locked-in-vehicle emergencies, dial 911 first — emergency services have rapid response.

I lost my keys, not just locked them inside. Can you help?
Yes, but it's a different service. Smart-key programming or transponder cutting is required. Tell us on the phone so we bring the right equipment.
What about a child locked in the car?
Dial 911 FIRST. Emergency services have rapid response for child/pet vehicle emergencies. We respond to non-emergency lockouts.
