Non-destructive first
Manipulation, scoping, autodialer, dial reading — whichever fits the lock and the customer's goal.
Safe Opening · Las Vegas Valley
Time-delay locks (S&G 6741, LaGard 39E, AMSEC ProLogic) require a programmed waiting period between entering the combination and the bolt releasing. We program, repair, and service these commercial-grade locks for pharmacies, jewelry stores, and cash businesses.
Every time-delay lock service job at Armor Lock & Safe follows a methodology hierarchy — non-destructive techniques first, drilling only as a last resort with written owner authorization. About 85% of our Vegas-area safe-opening work completes without drilling.
Manipulation, scoping, autodialer, dial reading — whichever fits the lock and the customer's goal.
On-site inspection, manufacturer schematic lookup, flat-rate quote before any work.
Owner-authorized, at the manufacturer-engineered weak point, fully repaired afterwards.
Owner-trained on every major US safe brand and lock platform. Tell us the make and model on the phone — manufacturer schematic lookup cuts our on-site time by ~30%.
A typical service call starts with phone intake — what brand, what model, where located, what symptoms. We dispatch from our East Side headquarters at 3650 S Eastern Ave, with average arrival of 20–35 minutes anywhere in the Vegas Valley. On-site we verify ownership (government-issued ID plus address documentation), inspect the lock or safe, identify make and model, and quote a flat rate in writing before any work begins. We perform the service, document the work, and walk through the result with the customer. Payment is due on completion; we accept cash, all major credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and ACH for commercial accounts. A printed or emailed receipt is issued before we leave.
Las Vegas locksmith pricing is too often "quoted on the phone, then changed on the truck." We give a flat-rate quote in writing before any work begins. Below is our standard pricing for this service.
| Item | Cost | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Service call | $150 | Waived on jobs over $250 |
| Typical service range | See pricing card | Quoted in writing before work |
| Parts (if needed) | At cost plus reasonable markup | |
| Drilling (if needed and authorized) | +$200–$500 |
Typical: 30–120 minutes for most jobs
Factors that change the time on-site:
Things we wish every Vegas safe owner knew. Following these saves you time, money, and avoids damage to your safe.
Identify the brand and model BEFORE calling — saves diagnosis time and money.
Verify ownership documentation is ready before we arrive (ID + address proof, or court paperwork for probate).
Photograph the work area before we arrive — useful for insurance or estate records.
Ask for the LVMPD permit number on the phone — every legitimate Las Vegas locksmith should provide it.
Nevada NRS Chapter 655 licenses locksmiths and safe mechanics through the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. We operate under this permit, Clark County and City of Las Vegas business licenses, with surety bond and liability insurance on file. We do not work on safes or locks whose ownership we cannot verify.
See the pricing card on this page. Final quote is given in writing on-site before any work begins.
Most jobs complete in 30–120 minutes. Complex work (TL-rated, antique, vault) can run longer.
